Dzul Dance Dance
From the jungles of southern Mexico, where he was raised, to the metropolis of New York, where his dance company recently turned 10, Javier Dzul has had quite a journey. In “Mexico Maya,” Mr. Dzul and his 13 dancers and aerialists explore his Maya roots, meditate on migration and its effects on those back home, and turn inward to contemplate what comes next artistically for the company.
